Going out for dinner, it’s one of my favourite things to do in Berlin. Not only because you get the visit the newest, nicest restaurants but also because going out for dinner might be as expensive as working from home. That why I wanted to share some of my favourite restaurants with you in this new category ‘5 x .. in Berlin’

Crackers

Crackers is thé new hotspot in Berlin. Most of the time those are the places I tend to skip, but sometimes you just have to go for it.
The restaurant, hidden behind a big iron gate in a small alley in Friedrichshain, is hip and chique but not on an absurd non-welcoming level. The decoration is classy and I’d love to bring those chairs back home, together with the cutlery by the way, so so so gorgeous! The amazing style and vibe is something that also resonates in the prices but the good is so good that it’s more than worth it.

Schneeweiß

In the middle of Friedrichshain you have several restaurants that are famous for their classic German kitchen. Schneeweiß is one of them. To be honest I was never really interested in going there because of the all white (what’s in the name) interior but I’m glad we finally did. The schnitzels from Schneeweiß are famous and I can really only recommend them.

Ø

Ø is located near Mehringdamm, a street you might want to discover when you are in Berlin because of all the restaurants, Mustafa’s kebab ánd the nearby Bergmannkiez.
Ø’s kitchen is a bit all over the place with fish&chops, steaks and burgers but they also have a lot of variation in their weekmenu’s.

Cocoro

I love Asian food! Okay that’s out there! When we were walking on Mehringdamm (there it is again) earlier this month, we were looking for a place to eat and of course I wanted Asian. So we ended up at Cocoro.
It might be a bit more expensive than the normal Asian-restaurant in town, normally you might have a main dish for 5 or 6 euros and here the starters are around that amount but you really don’t want to skip the dumplings!

Osmans Töchter

A restaurant I might have already been for the fifth time. If you want to eat Turkish food in Berlin, you might end up in a fast-food kinda lace but Osmans Töchter is thé place to go! It’s cosy, warm and the food is a-ma-zing. Order different dishes to share with the whole table and enjoy!
